The Cycle2Work process
Cycle2Work is designed to be implemented with a minimum of paperwork and bureaucracy. It's tax-free cycling, in four easy stages.
Phase 1
You are now looking at Halfords Cycle2Work website, which contains all the information you need to investigate Cycle2Work.
If you decide you would like to offer the benefits of Cycle2Work to your employees you can make an application to run a scheme from this website.
Phase 2
Should you opt for a lease and once you have agreed the rate, you can announce Cycle2Work to your employees. Remember you decide who you want to offer it to. It's important you take time to market the scheme properly and we'll help and provide everything you need. You can run the scheme electronically via Halfords bespoke password protected secure web portal or via hard-copy.
Phase 3
Employees can select and order Letters of Collection online directly or complete hard copies for input by the person implementing the scheme in your organisation. Halfords can also assist in the administration of your scheme. Once the orders are submitted, you validate those that you wish to accept and reject those you don't.
Phase 4
Once the scheme is complete the Halfords Web Portal can produce completed documents and send them to the lease company. The lease company will then send you a lease to sign. Once this is done Halfords will issue Letters of Collection or product to your employees. Where no lease is involved, i.e. you are paying for the bikes out of your own funds we will simply issue Letters of Collection or product to your staff and invoice you accordingly. The Halfords Web Portal tells you by how much to reduce your employees' salaries.
